The boy’s ages range from about 4 years old to 15 years old. Originally, the Kiser’s tried to locate children early on, from about 4-10 years old, or before they would have formed destructive habits too engrained to reverse.

The children have been brought to the orphanage for many reasons; some come from very poor families that cannot currently provide for them due to temporary financial set backs, broken homes, abandonment, drug abuse, child abuse, and some kids have just been left on the streets to fend for themselves.

It is the orphanages intent to sustain and reverse the future of the children, whose future, without help, might very well be terribly bleak. The continuously progressing goal is to make room for more of these children in need of a loving and fulfilling future.
